I am a marketing consultant and a commercial research expert with fifteen years of postgraduate work experience spanning a broad spectrum of management consulting and commercial research assignments. Currently, as the CEO of market research firms, the Bureau of Market & Social Research Ltd (Ghana) and MSR-Nigeria Ltd (Nigeria), I have undertaken more than three hundred and fifty (350) commercial research projects over the past thirteen years.
I have carried out innovation and route-to-market research for many blue-chip companies and SMEs across various sectors. In the FMCG sector, I conducted concept and product testing for companies within the personal care, beverages, snacks/biscuits, confectioneries, condiments, and savoury foods markets. I have conducted these different types of commercial research for multinational brands operating across Ghana, Guinea Conakry, and Nigeria, helping these brands achieve exponential growth in their respective markets. Some of the organisations I have consulted for include Samsung C&T, Diageo (Guinness Ghana Brewery Ltd), CFAO, L’Oreal, Weave Ghana Ltd, Nutrifoods Ghana Ltd, Nestle, Olam Ghana Ltd, Godrej (Nigeria and Kenya), Caraway Foods (Nigeria), CFAO, Petrosol, CBG, Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, and many more.
I have also undertaken a number of private sector development assignments in Ghana. Until 2021, I served as the Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant for RDF Ghana (an agricultural credit fund supported by DANIDA). I have developed SME financing models for SMEs in the WASH sector for the Royal Netherlands Embassy and have been involved in WASH sector work with water.org. Additionally, I conducted a Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices study for UNICEF aimed at growing the iodized salt value chain in Ghana.
I am recognized as a thought leader in the commercial research industry and, in 2016, I was invited to chair a panel discussion by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) as part of a larger conference event on “strengthening the use of data in national development planning.”
I frequently share my expertise with many universities in the country, such as the University of Ghana (where I am currently pursuing a PhD in Marketing), the University of Applied Management, and Central University. I am currently the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) Examiner for the Market Research and Insights paper.
